Bio
` Joseph Andrew Vasut was born on June 29, 1937 in San Antonio, Texas, the son of Joseph Vasut and Adela (Dobrava) Vasut. He was married about 1958 to Billy -- . Joseph retired from the Food and Drug Administration after 30 years of service. He attended Saint Edward Catholic Church and was a fun-loving jokester, enjoyed making people laugh and made a lasting impression on everyone he met. His passions included yard work, collecting ferns from different states, traveling and spending time with his family. Living in Nashville, Tennessee, Joseph was 80 years old when he passed away on March 28, 2018. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Jeanette (Vasut) Hollub and grandson David DeMassey, while survivors included his wife, three daughters and two sons-in-law, a married son and nine grandchildren. Funeral Mass was at Saint Edward Catholic Church, and Graveside Services were in Saint Rose of Lima Catholic Cemetery in Schulenburg, Texas, Original obituary in The Tennessean on March 29, 2018, with much added info from the obit at Hibbett Hailey Funeral Home.
