Bio
Joe was born in Grayson County, Texas, the son of Hugh and Margaret (Murphy) McCullough. A local farmer Joe died in a local hospital in Sherman, Texas. In 1918, he married Miss Mada May Dingle in Sherman. He was a member of St Mary's Catholic Church, Sherman. He was preceded in death by his father. He was survived by his wife; his mother; three daughters, Miss Dollie McCullough, Mrs. Valeria Bledsoe, and Mrs. Dorothy Imbert all of Sherman; seven brothers, John, Jim, Charles, Felix, and Monsignor Edward McCullough, all of Sherman, Tom McCullough of San Antonio, Texas and Frank McCullough of Dallas, Texas; one sister, Miss Mary McCullough of Sherman and three grandchildren. Rosary was recited at Waldo Funeral Home, Sherman. A Requiem Mass was celebrated at St. Mary's Church, officiated by Msgr. Edward McCullough, pastor and his brother. *********************************** An article "Death Takes J. McCullough, Local Farmer" appeared on the local newspaper, Sherman Democrat on 13 August 1948.
