OKLAHOMA CITY Buettner, Kenneth Joseph, 85, Oklahoma City police officer and OG&E security, died March 3. Wake 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Funeral Home Chapel. Mass 10:30 a.m. Friday, St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church, Yukon (Mercer-Adams, Bethany). Published in The Oklahoman, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Tuesday, March 6, 2018, Page 6A. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Kenneth Joseph Buettner was born July 25, 1932, in Kingfisher, Oklahoma and passed away on March 3, 2018, in Oklahoma City. Buettner, the son of Edwin J. and Mary M. Buettner, served four years in the Navy during the Korean War and was an Oklahoma City police officer for 20 years. He is survived by his wife, Karen J. Buettner, whom he married in 1979. He is survived by Stephanie Garver, daughter, and Tracy Garver, son-in-law; daughters, D'Ann Buettner and Margaret Buettner; son, Casey Clark and daughter-in-law, Jamie Clark; as well six grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Marie McMillan of Kingfisher, Alice Grellner of Okarche, and Katy Tener of Oklahoma City. He is survived by Margie Soudek of Oklahoma City, sister; Richard Buettner of Oklahoma City, brother; Delores Graham of Oklahoma City, sister; and Charles Buettner of Grand Junction, Colo., brother. A prayer service for Buettner will be held at Mercer-Adams Funeral Home in Bethany at 6:30 p.m., Thursday. The funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, March 9 at St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church in Yukon, and he will be buried in the Yukon Cemetery.
