Bio

Joyce A. Oatman, 68, of Winter, WI, passed away Monday, February 26, 2018, at Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire. She was born September 1, 1949, in Eau Claire, the daughter of Rex and Patricia Olson. Joyce graduated from Eau Claire Memorial High School and went on to attain an A.A.S. at Chippewa Valley Technical College. Joyce married James Kopischkie in 1972 at St. Charles Catholic Church in Chippewa Falls. He passed away in 2010. She is survived by her daughter, Pamela Kopischkie; grandson, Aaron Burgess; sister, Janice Kurshner; brother, Rex Olson; several nieces and nephews; and by several special friends in Winter. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; and daughter, Caroline. A Celebration of her life will be held from 1-5 p.m. March 24, 2018, at VFW Post 7232, 2900 W. Folsom St. Eau Claire. Burial of Joyce’s cremains will be held at a later date in Lakeview Cemetery, Eau Claire. Chippewa Valley Cremation Services of Altoona is serving the family.
