Carrie Alice Judy FRUITLAND —Services for Mrs. Carrie Alice Judy, 82, a longtime resident of Fruitland, who died Monday at a Caldwell hospital, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at the First Methodist Church in Fruitland by the Rev. Grace M. Weaver of the United Methodist Church and the Rev. Edward Mclndoo of the First Christian Church of Ontario. Concluding services will be by the Priscilla Rebekah Lodge No. 97 and interment will be at Riverside at Payette. Services are under the direction of the Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel in Payette. She was born Sept. 29, at Butler County, Neb., and attended schools at Columbus, Neb. She received a teaching certificate from the state normal school in Nebraska and taught school in Nebraska for two years. She was married to Charles F. Judy at Miller. Neb.. March 30, 1909. They moved to a farm south of Fruitland in 1911 and have lived there since. Mr. Judy died in 1964. She helped organize the first PTA in the Fruitland Schools and had been chairman of the Tuberculosis Association in Fruitland for 20 years and state Democratic committee woman for Payette County for four years. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Ontario and the Priscilla Lodge No. 97 and a member of the 50 Year Club of Payette County and the Orchard Avenue Grange. She is survived by four sons, Homer W. of Payette, Harold L. of Lowman, Howard C. of Walla Walla, Wash., and Gerald R. of Bandon, Ore.; two daughters. Mrs. William (Evelyn) Lukehart of Boise, Mrs. Keith (Betty) Brandon, Pullman, Wash.; a brother, Karl W. Marlar, Baton Rouge, La.; three sisters, Mrs. Dora B. Koontz, Boise, and Mrs. Mae Hopkins and Mrs. Marguerite Smith, both of Seaview, Wash.; 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
