Anna R. Duffek, 88, Lincoln, formerly of Seward county, died Monday, July 14. She was born on January 12, 1898, to Joseph and Marie Stehlik Hraban near Dwight. She attended the Dwight Public School. In 1921 she married John E. Duffek at the Dwight Assumption Church. The couple farmed near Glover, N.D. for a few years before returning to Seward county in 1926. She worked at the Cotner Terrace Restaurant and at Geier's Bakery in Lincoln and was involved in child care for several years. She is survived by her three sons, Emil and John of Lincoln and Norbert of Laramie, Wyoming; two daughters, Evangeline (Mrs. Cody) Wilson of Granite, Oklahoma, and Eleanor (Mrs. Ray) O'Pry of Hawthorne, Calif.; one sister, Mrs. Frances Kadavy of Omaha; 14 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Services were held on Friday, June 18, at the Cathedral of the Risen Christ in Lincoln. Pallbearers were Frank Hraban, Robert Hraban, Rayfiel Hraban, Joe Kadavy, John Kadavy and Ernest Podolak.
