Bio

VICTORIA - Margaret Elaine Rogers, 66, went to be with the Lord, Friday, February 9, 2018. She was born September 3, 1951 in Shiner to Ben C. and Marian Bolech. Margaret grew up in Victoria and attended Nazareth Academy, where she graduated Valedictorian. She attended Victoria College and later graduated from The University of Texas at Austin. Margaret worked as a Medical Technologist before earning her teaching degree. Margaret taught for 15 years, many of which were spent teaching religion, science, and math at her beloved Nazareth Academy. She especially enjoyed preparing her second graders to receive their First Confession and First Holy Communion. A strong, loving, and supportive mother, Margaret raised her daughter surrounded by family in Victoria. In her free time, Margaret loved to play with and take care of her grandson and spend time with her family and her cat. She enjoyed being outside doing yard work and gardening. She was particularly fond of reading mystery novels and watching Hallmark mystery movies. Margaret was actively involved with the Our Lady of Lourdes Get Well Ministry and found great enjoyment in spreading words of peace and love to those who most needed them. Margaret was preceded in death by her mother, Marian Bolech and her friend, DeDe Koenig, as well as by other beloved friends and pets. Services are pending with Grace Funeral Home. A funeral mass and rosary will be scheduled at Our Lady of Lourdes with burial at Memorial Park Cemetery. A notice of service times will be published later.
