Hammond, Glenn E. Sep 8, 1912 - Mar 7, 1978 Pensacola Journal, Wed., Mar. 8, 1978 Glenn E. Hammond, 65, of Rt. 3, Box 179, died Tuesday morning in a local hospital. Mr. Hammond was a native and lifelong resident of Pensacola. He was a member of the Church of Christ and Woodman of the World and retired from Newport Industrials. Survivors include his wife, Adelia Hammond of Pensacola; three daughters, Joan Bradshaw and Marion Wertian, both of Pensacola, and Shirley Bowman of Pace; two sons, Glenn F. Hammond and Wayne Hammond, both of Pensacola,; two sisters, Vera Cosby of Pensacola, and Theresa Calloway of Monticello, Miss.; two brothers, Adrian F. Hammond Sr., and J. R. Willis Jr., both of Pensacola and 11 grandchildren. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday in the Fisher-Pou chapel with Richard Leeper, minister, and Foy Cherry, minister, officiating. Burial will be in the Jordan Cemetery, Gonzalez; with Fisher-Pou Funeral service directing. The family will received friends from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday in the Fisher-Pou Chapel. Active pallbearers will be John M. Nowlin, Harry A. Nowlin, James Hughes, Johnny F. Henderson, Robert W. Henderson and John R. Forish. Honorary pallbearers will be Vernon Arrington, Riley Smith, A. B. McKenzie, Elmer R. Reeves, Mac H. Willis, Robert C. Huffman and Billy J. Barrow.
