Bio

George Wayne Hammond, 70, of Pensacola passed away Feb. 1, 2015. Wayne was born Feb. 20, 1944 to Glenn Hammond and Adelia Bonifay Hammond. Wayne graduated from Tate High School in 1963. He enjoyed all outside sports. His true passion was riding in his wagon pulled by his mules. He is survived by a daughter, Gina King; grandson, Bryce King; sisters, Joan (Robert) Bradshaw, Marian (Clarence) Werhan, and Shirley (Wayne) Bowman; brothers, Glenn Hammond; special cousin, Adrian Hammond; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins who loved him. Services will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., Friday, February 6, 2015 at the Trahan Family Funeral Home Chapel. Trahan Family Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
