Ellen (Ora) was notorious for mischaracterizations about her life. The obituary states facts that have simply been proven false through direct contact with family members of mine and hers, including research. Posted information in the name, birthplace, death place areas on FindAGrave is accurate. ------- Died April 10, 1990 COLUMBUS, Neb. - Ellen Husby, 85, a retired nurse, died Tuesday at Columbus Community Hospital in Columbus, Neb. She was a former Suttons Bay resident. Born August 23, 1904, in Richmond, Va., she was the daughter of Clifford and Gertie (Pratt) Peters*. In Rushville, Neb., on Feb. 28, 1935, she married Lueie Lee Marlar, who died in 1970. She married Albert Husby in 1970, who died in 1973. She was was preceded in death by a stepson. Surviving are a son, Lloyd Dale; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Walter (Fern) Kiuntke of Columbus, Neb., and Mrs. Richard (Opal) Collingham of York, Neb.; a stepson Art (Dorothy) Dierks of Fullerton, Neb.; a granddaughter, 13 stepgrandchildren, 14 stepgreatgrandchildren and five stepgreat-great-grandchildren. Services were held this morning at the Gass-Haney Chapel in Columbus. Burial will take place later in (in) Grand Traverse Memorial Gardens. Local arrangements were handled by Martinson Funeral Home in Suttons Bay ---------------------------------------------------- Ora led quite a life. She was married at 15 to Fred to which she was forced by the court to annul. Fred did time in jail. Then moved to California. She married Harry and then she divorced him and he killed himself. She then moved to Rockford, Illinois and married a Marlar. It was mentioned in her fathers obituary in 1960. *Many "facts" mentioned in both hers and Lueie Marlar's obituary are disputed by living family*
