She married Lawrence Henry Rhodes at Salt Lake City, Utah, on October 22, 1921. _______________________________________ Clara R. Rhodes Clara R. Rhodes died in her Portland home Friday. She was 79. She was born at Weston, Idaho, and had been a resident of the Portland area since 1926. She was a member of the Portland Second Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and past matron of the Sellwood chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star and was a member of the Railroad Switchman's auxiliary. She is survived by a daughter, Ruth M. Kirkpatrick of Beaverton; a sister, Mrs. James A. Spriggs of Twin Falls, Idaho; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Wilhelm Funeral Home, with vault entombment in Riverview Abbey. [ The Oregonian , Portland, Oregon, Tuesday, November 13, 1979, page D6]
