YOAKUM - Lorene Byrnes, 95, passed away Tuesday, January 23, 2018. She was born April 26, 1922 in Shiner to the late August and Mary (Filipp) Fojtik. She was married to John S. Byrnes Jr. for 61 years until his death in 2005. Preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, David Byrnes; granddaughter, Kristi Dieringer; brother, Wilbert (Jack) Fojtik. Visitation 5 to 7 p.m., Thursday, January 25, 2018 at Thiele Cooper Funeral Home. Funeral Service 2 p.m., Friday, January 26, 2018 at First United Methodist Church with Rev.
