Bio

Frank Joseph Kotrla, 85, Taylor, died Wednesday, April 29, 1992, in Johns Community Hospital. Mr. Kotrla was born September 17, 1906, at Ellinger, the son of John and Frances (Blaha) Kotrla. He had been self-employed as a farmer in the Thrall area for 35 years. He was a member of the Taylor Brethren Church. In addition to his parents, he was proceeded in death by his wife, Rosie Romanek Kotrla in 1965, a daughter, three sisters, and two brothers. Funeral services were held at Condra Memorial Chapel with the Rev. James Hejl officiating. Burial was in the Taylor City Cemetary. Survivors include a daughter, Rosalie Orrick of Fontana, California; a son, Frank Daniel Kotrla of Austin; a grandson, Kevin Kotrla of Austin; a sister, Vlasta Kotrla of Taylor; a brother, John Lorenc of Taylor; and numerous nephews and nieces.
