Services for Lou Etta McGee, 92, of the Springfield community, were at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Bailey & Foster Chapel with Olen Boles and Patrick Papp officiating. Burial followed in Price's Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Bailey & Foster Funeral Home, Palestine. Mrs. McGee died Monday (Mar 26, 2007) at East Texas Medical Center in Athens. She was born Aug. 27, 1914 in Athens to Floyd and Myrtle Price Hanks. She was a homemaker and a lifetime resident of the Springfield community. Mrs. McGee was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Michael Dale McGee; granddaughter, Michelle McGee; brothers, Troy Hanks and Morris Hanks. She is survived by her husband, McRay McGee of the Springfield community; sons, Kenneth McGee and wife Reba, Keith McGee and wife Dorothy, and Larry McGee; sisters, Dorothy Morse and Janice Minter; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, and many other family members and friends. Pallbearers were Ken McGee Jr., Mack McGee, Jeff McGee, Tommy Campbell, John Mikkelson and Ricky Green.
