BURLINGTON – Mrs. Margaret "Peggy" Arthur Miller, 87, of Burlington, passed away Saturday, January 13, 2018, at Alamance Regional Medical Center. A native of Kings Mountain, NC, she was the wife of 58 years to the late Winston David Miller, Sr. and daughter of the late James Henrie Arthur and Elizabeth Groome Arthur. She was a member of Front Street United Methodist Church, the Helper's Sunday School Class and was a Stephen Minister. Mrs. Miller graduated from Women's College which is now UNC-G. Surviving are two sons, Dr. Arthur Miller (Dr. Aileen Miller) and Winston David Miller, Jr. (Ann Miller) all of Burlington; two sisters, Shirley Kinneman (Robert) of Culpeper, VA and Jean Harris of Kings Mountain, NC; three grandchildren, Jeffrey Miller (Lauren) and Ryan Miller, both of Raleigh, and Olivia Garrison of Charlotte; and a special caregiver, Sharon Sellers of Burlington. Mrs. Miller was preceded in death by a sister, Marion Thomasson of Kings Mountain. A Memorial Service will be held 2 p.m. Monday, January 15, in the Chapel at Front Street United Methodist Church with Rev. Marshall Old officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the Heritage Room. The burial will take place at Pine Hill Cemetery.
