Bio

Evelyn B. Foster, 92, passed away peacefully on January 4, 2018 in Salt Lake City. She was born September 2, 1925 in Toquerville to Archie E. and Mary I. (Stewart) Beatty/Batty. She graduated from Hurricane High and Branch Agricultural College (BAC) in Cedar City. She married her one true love, Keith Downing Foster, in the St. George Temple on September 28, 1946. Our beloved mom, a cheerful optimist, was the most kind, charitable, and sweetest example to her family. She served others by accepting all church callings offered: Relief Society President, Jr. Sunday School Coordinator, Young Women, and visiting and caring for family, friends, and neighbors. She always had a song in her heart and would be humming and toe tapping throughout the house. She was most proud of her family. "I have no greater joy than to know my children walk in truth." John 1:4 Survived by Margene (Gary) Gorringe, Dennis (Miriam) Foster, Jolene (Bart) Bickmore, Brenda (Alan) Werrett, Gaelynn (Archie) Blackham, twenty-six grandchildren, and sixty-four great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, Keith; children, twins Dean Keith and Donna; five sisters; three brothers; and parents. A viewing will be held on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 South Highland Drive (1450 East), and Wednesday, January 10, 2018 from 10:00-10:45 a.m. in the Parleys Fifth Ward Building, 2625 East Stringham Avenue (2295 South). Funeral services will be held immediately following at 11:00 a.m. Interment at the Kaysville City Cemetery, 500 Crestwood Road. Published in the Salt Lake Tribune and Deseret News on January 7, 2018.
