Funeral services for Billie Murray Herring, 91, of Lufkin will be held January 7, 2018 in the McKindree Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the McKindree Cemetery. Mrs. Herring was born March 26, 1926 in Nacogdoches County, Texas to the late Edith (Lambert) and Hiram Murray, and died Thursday, January 4, 2018 in Lufkin. Mrs. Herring had resided in Lufkin most of her life. She retired from working in Sales at Yard Stick. She was the oldest living member of McKindree Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughters, Pat Anderson and husband Kenneth, and Donna Herring Smith; son, Mike Herring and wife Linda; grandchildren and their spouses, Trent Hopson, Todd Hopson, Blake and Tammy Hopson, Christi and Stacy Vann, Rance Herring, Chad and Kristi Shofner, and Kacie Lovejoy; 10 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Blanche Murray; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
