Joshua Knight, born 12 May 1832 in North Carolina, He married Mary Ann Johnson White 12 August 1852 in Nashville, Brown, Indiana. They had the following children: 1) Edward F. who was born may 1854 Born in Iowa, Joseph A. whom was born 1856 in Iowa, Sarah F. born December 1858 in Iowa, Martha (Mattie) Knight and she was first married to Isaac Breeding and he passed away and she remarried to a man by the name of John W. Doing, she was born in Nashville, Brown, Indiana, Mary Elizabeth who was born April 1864 in Nashville, Brown, Indiana, William Henry who was born May of 1866 in Nashville, Brown, Indiana. John W. born November 1868 in Nashville, Brown, Indiana he was married to Mary or Mollie Burwell. Etta May and she was born in 1874 in Nashville, Brown, Indiana and she married James E. Dugan. Charles Walter and he was born Nov. 1876 in Nashville, Brown, Indiana, and last but not least, Juanita who was born Jan. 1884 in Arcola, Douglas, Illinois. Joshua was the son of Levin and Emily Ellis Knight.
