Bio

Evelyn Alice (Stanford) Tabor passed away peacefully in her sleep at home in Burleson, Texas on Wednesday Nov. 30, 2016, after a lengthy illness. Evelyn was born Sept. 11, 1927, in Horton, Kansas to Nellie Myrtle Briggs and Alfred Foster Stanford. She moved to Fort Worth in her early teens and never left the area. She married Joseph Frank Tabor, Jr on Nov. 26, 1952; he preceded her in death. Survivors: sons: David Tabor and wife, Shirley, of Ashburn, Virginia, and Stephen Tabor and wife, Darlene, of Amarillo, Texas; daughter, Frances Stark and husband, Coy, of Burleson, Texas; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one niece; and several great-nieces and nephews. First Visitation: Dec. 9. 06:00 PM - 08:00 PM at Mount Olivet Chapel in Greenwood Funeral Homes and Cremation, 2301 North Sylvania Avenue, Fort Worth, Texas 76111. Second Visitation: Dec. 10 at 01:00 PM, Grace Lutheran Church, 7900 McCart Avenue, Fort Worth, Texas 76123. Funeral Service: Dec. 10, 02:00 PM at Grace Lutheran Church. Burial: following funeral service at Laurel Land Memorial Park, 7100 Crowley Rd, Fort Worth, Texas, 76134. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Grace Lutheran Church noted as memorial for Evelyn Tabor or the charity of your choice.
