Bio

Miss Linda Carter, age 76 of Winnfield, Louisiana passed away at Autumn Leaves Nursing Home Sunday, December 24, 2017. Miss Carter was a member of the Zion Hill Baptist Church at Williana and managed a grocery store for many years. She was the daughter of the late Jack Carter and the late Ina Owens Carter. She was also preceded in death by a brother Shelby Carter. Miss Carter leaves to cherish her memory her brothers Elwin Rodgers of New Mexico, Quincy Carter of Dry Prong, La., Dewey Carter of Olla, La., and her sisters Louise Smith of Hammond, La., and Jeannette Chellette of Dry Prong, La. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery near Williana with Reverends Mac Brunson and Dick Debusk officiating. Interment will follow in the Liberty Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Southern Funeral Home. Friends may visit with the family in the church on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services. Serving as pallbearers will be John David Chellette, Kole Chellette, Don Sutton, Lylnn Chellette, Scott Carter, and Tracy Chellette.
