Bio
Jacqueline Dean Burks was born in Forney, Texas to parents Willard and Eppie Snow on April 7, 1922, and passed away on February 4, 2017. She was a graduate of Sunset High School and El Centro College. She and Robert Ira Burks were married on March 8, 1941. They had 2 children, James Robert Burks and Betty Jane Burks. Jackie is survived by her son, Jim, a brother-in-law and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Betty Jane Burks, and siblings: Zonnie Griffin, Euwana McElroy, Renia Louise Snow, Opal Fae Snow Rheda Mae Snow, and Nathan Willard Snow, Jr. Jackie began a 30-year career at F.W. Dodge (later Dodge/ McGraw -Hill) in in 1956 where she was active in the Women In Construction organization. After retirement in 1986 she was active in the senior citizens group in Duncanville, and loved to travel, a highlight being standing on the Great Wall of China on her 75th birthday.
