Bio

Given name Mary Jessielene Thomas-went by middle name of "Jessilene" Mary Jessielene Thomas Dingler, 82 of Nocona, TX was lifted up into our Heavenly Father's arms on December 14, 2017 with her children by her side. A memorial service will be held in Nocona, TX at Jerry Woods Funeral Home from 2pm to 4pm, Saturday December 16, 2017. Graveside services will be held Sunday, December 17, 2017 at 3pm at Echols Cemetery on Jennings Mountain in Brownsboro, TX. Jessielene was born March 10, 1935 in Malakoff, TX. Her parents are the late Jesse Clyde Thomas and Mary Louise Selman Thomas. She was preceded in death by her daughter Tina Dingler and her sisters Elna Tidmore, June Echols and Sherry Daniels. Jessielene is survived by a son and daughter-in-law Dr Len and Waynette Dingler; a daughter and son-in-law Rebel and Jayme Fairbanks; a son and daughter-in-law Dr Chance and Jennifer Dingler; grandchildren Brennan Dingler and fiancé Jaci Johnson, Blair Dingler, Bryce Dingler, Hunter Dingler, Jacob Dingler, Jordan Dingler, Josh Dingler and Jessica Dingler. She was a member of Highway 31 Church of Christ in Brownsboro, TX and later the Church of Christ in Nocona, TX. Jessielene graduated from Malakoff High School in Malakoff, TX and then went on to Henderson County Junior College (now TVCC) where she was a drum major. After graduating from HCJC, she graduated from Sul Ross State University. She received her teaching certificate and subsequently taught school and coached at Eagle Pass, TX, Moody, TX and Athens, TX where she then retired. Her greatest love was coaching, watching and cheering on all her children and grandchildren in any type of sports or other activities. She also loved watching her oldest grandson, Brennan, as he was coaching. She was an ardent fan of the Brownsboro Bears and later she adopted the Nocona Indians and a staunch supporter of anyone wearing the Brownsboro blue and gold and the Nocona orange and black. Pall Bearers are nephews and nephews-in-laws Johnny Slover, Kelly McLemore, Gerry Huffman, Michael Short, Chuck Rector and Richard Rector.
