Wayne Caldwell May 1, 1926 - December 7, 2017 Wayne Caldwell, 91, La Porte, TX, passed away December 7, 2017. He was born in Houston, TX, on May 1, 1926, to Perry Eugene and Savella Caldwell. He was married to Wanda Caldwell for 54 years. Wayne worked as a master mechanic and a heavy equipment operator. He entered into the Army Air Force in 1944 and had a passion for playing dominoes, dancing, and in earlier years, deep sea fishing, but most of all he loved to spend time with his family. He will be dearly missed! He was preceded in death by his wife Wanda, son Kenneth Dunn, brothers Alvin and Roy Caldwell, twin sister Winnie Tielke, and sister Wanda Larson. Wayne is survived by his daughters Judy Hatcher and husband John, Anita Swindle, Marjorie Caldwell, and Amanda Marlene Cole, sisters-in-law Jackie Florrow, Brenda Baker, and Linda Scott, lifelong friends Phyllis and Robert Santos, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 12, 2017, at South Main Baptist Church, 4300 East Sam Houston Pkwy S, Pasadena, TX, 77505, with a celebration of life to follow at noon. Interment to follow at Forest Park East Cemetery, 21620 Gulf Freeway, Webster, TX, 77598.
