Mildred married Delbert Edwin Otte on September 14, 1948 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Prague, Nebraska. Mildred and Delbert are the parents of John, Mike, Tim, Mark, Steve, Janet, Chris, Julie, Jennifer, Daniel & Mary. ***** Mildred is buried in St. Francis Catholic Cemetery in Wahoo. NE not St. Wenceslaus Cemetery, as is her spouse Delbert Otte. I am the cemetery board president for our parish and am making corrections when I find them. She was born March 3, 1928 in Prague, NE to Otto and Helen (Prohaska) Matous. She attended the Catholic grade school in Prague and graduated from Prague High School. On September 14, 1948, Mildred was united in marriage to Delbert Otte at St. John the Baptist Church in Prague, NE. Mildred worked in Omaha for a few years after graduation until she was married. Delbert and Mildred farmed in Iowa and Nebraska before settling in Wahoo in 1964. Mildred was a bookkeeper for Otte Oil for many years. Mildred was a member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, Altar Rosary Society, Saunders Medical Center Auxiliary and American Legion Auxiliary. She loved traveling the world, and Las Vegas was a favorite. She always enjoyed following her grandchildren's sporting events. She is survived by children, John Otte of Davey, Mike (Lynn) Otte of Memphis, Tim (Shannon) Otte of Wahoo, Mark (Marsha) Otte of Wahoo, Steven (Kim) Otte Wahoo, Janet (Rick) Ahrens of Wahoo, Chris (Marcia) Otte of Wahoo, Julie (Todd) Morrissey of Yutan and Jennifer Otte of Wahoo; daughter-in-law, Sandy Otte of Wahoo; 35 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Dick Barton; sisters-in-law, Mary Ann Otte and Doris Otte; many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by husband, Delbert Otte; son, Daniel Otte; infant daughter, Mary Elizabeth; parents, Otto and Helen Matous; sisters, Irene Semrad and Margaret Barton; and infant granddaughter, Tracy Lynn. ∼ Mildred was born on March 3, 1928 and passed away on Thursday, November 30, 2017. Mildred was a resident of Nebraska at the time of passing. Mildred M.
