"Margaret “Muzzy” J. Barton, 81 years, of Fremont, Nebraska died Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at her home in Fremont. Margaret was born February 21, 1935 in Prague, Nebraska to Otto and Helen (Prochaska) Matous. She was raised in Prague and graduated from Prague High School. Muzzy married Dick Barton February 22, 1955 at St. John’s Catholic Church, Prague, Nebraska. They lived in Fremont and she was with the lunch program for St. Pat’s/Bergan Schools for thirty-five years. She loved to dance, bowl and bake kolaches and rye bread. She also enjoyed walking. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Fremont, St. Pat’s Women, and F.O.E. 200 in Fremont. She is survived by husband, Dick of Fremont; sons, Randy and wife, Deb Barton of Lincoln, Nebraska, Tom Barton and special friend, Deb Baker of Surprise, Arizona, and Dave and wife, Peggy Barton of Fremont; daughter, Ginny and husband, Peter Giebelhaus of Gretna, Nebraska; sister, Mildred Otte of Wahoo, Nebraska; brother-in-law, Robert and wife, Kay Barton of Fremont; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Irene Semrad; brothers-in-law, Anton (Zip) Semrad and Delbert Otte; and daughter-in-law, Lisa Barton. Funeral Mass will be 10:00 A.M., Friday, August 12, 2016 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Fremont. The Rev. Father Eliot Schwer will officiate. Visitation will be Thursday from 5 PM to 8 PM with a rosary at 7 PM at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. Visitation will continue Friday one prior to the funeral mass at the church. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Fremont. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be given to St. Patrick’s Catholic Church." Moser Memorial Chapel, Fremont, Nebraska.
