Pearle Ramona Hampton Orland , 94, passed away on Monday, November 13, 2017, at the Bishop Noah Home in Escanaba, Michigan. Pearle was born July 1st,1923, in St. Louis, Missouri, the daughter of Roy and Martha (Brehm) Hampton. She was raised in the Corsicana State Home orphanage in Texas until she graduated from high school at age 16. After moving to Gladstone, MI, she and Wilfred Royer were married for 24 years. Pearle moved to Green Bay, WI, where she met and married Fred Orland in 1972. She taught fitness for the Northeast Wisconsin Technical College for many years. She also volunteered at St. Vincent Hospital and the Brown County Library. She taught line dancing until she was 80 years old and she was a test subject for the American Cancer Society. Pearle also loved spending time with her family and reading. Pearle is survived by her son, Frank (Sue) Royer of Gladstone; her daughters, Bethann (Gary Pfiester) Royer of Escanaba and Margaret "Peggy" (Dow) Dawson, Sr., of Gladstone; grandchildren, Coral (Jim) Nelson, Dean (Becky) Hardwick, Darrel (Nicole) Hardwick, Dow (Heather) Dawson, Jr., Josh (Mary) Dawson, Marnie (Doug) Williamson, Ben Royer and Jonna DeGraves; eighteen great grandchildren, one great great grandson and many nieces and nephews. Pearle was preceded in death by her husband, Fred, her brother, Robert, and her grandsons Jack A Curran and David Hardwick. Pearle's request was to have no services.
