Bio

Otilia "Tillie" Dusek, 100, of East Bernard, Texas, passed away November 16, 2017 in the home she shared with her family. She was born in East Bernard on March 29, 1917 to William and Annie (Janis) Poessel. She dedicated her life in service to her family as a beloved wife to Joe, and mother to five children. She was a parishioner of Guardian Angel Catholic Church, a member of the Catholic Daughters and the Altar Society, and a 75 year member of the KJZT. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Dusek; her parents; brothers, Frank and Bill; and sisters, Frances, Annie, Betty, Mary, and Gertrude. Tillie is survived by sons, Joe Dusek and wife, Cynthia, Patrick and wife, Carolyn; daughters, JoAnn and husband, Gene Demny, Cynthia and husband, Lonnie Beseda, Mary and husband, Roger Criswell; seventeen grandchildren; forty-four great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter; along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. A memorial and wake service will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2017, at Guardian Angel Catholic Church. Visitation at 5:00 pm and a rosary will begin at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am on Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2017, at Guardian Angel Catholic Church, followed by a graveside service at the Guardian Angel Cemetery in Wallis. For those wishing, in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Tillie's name benefiting the victims of recent Texas floods. Please send all donations to P.O Box 168 East Bernard, TX 77435.
