Bio
Alyce M. Cooney passed away on Friday, November 10, 2017. Alyce was born on February 5, 1922, in Brainard, Nebraska to Anna and John Janousek. Alyce attended high school in Brainard, and Business School in Lincoln, Nebraska, where she met her husband, Rex Cooney. They were married in 1941. Alyce enjoyed gardening and crocheting, but developed a love for crossword puzzles in later years. She is survived by: sisters, Helen Jisa and Alma Janousek; brother, John Janousek; children, Karen Beck, Peggy Price, and Patrick Cooney; three grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren. Alyce was preceded in death by: parents; husband, Rex; and son, Michael Cooney. Mass of Christian Burial, Friday, November 17, 2017, at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church.
