Bio
Ralph was the son of George L Benz and Anna Elizabeth Russell. He married Ida J Granger 30 Jun 1911 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Houston, Texas. He was working as a railroad accountant in Tucson,Arizona, where their son was born, lived briefly in Oakland, CA before returning to Tucson for the remainder of their lives. The Arizona Daily Star, 24 Jan 1960 "Ralph Arthur Benz, 70, of 848 E 7th St, died Fruday at St Mary's Hospital. A resident of Tucson for 48 years, he was a retired manager of the Tucson Laundry. He was born in Quincy, Ill. "He is survived by his wife, Ida, a son, Ralph of Cleveland; a brother, Elmer , of Houston, Tex., two sisters, Mrs Micharel Walters and Mrs Lucius Gray, both of Houston; and four grandchildren. "A Rosary will be recited at 7:30 pm today at Bring's Funeral Home Chapel. Requiem High Mass will be sung at 9 am tomorrow at All Saints Church. Burial will bw in Holy Hope Cemetery. "Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 8 pm today."
