Graveside services for Geraldine Gilleland Dingler, 71, of Tyler are scheduled for 11:00 A.M, Thursday, October 19, 2017 at Bascom Cemetery in Tyler with Rev. Mike Ford officiating, under the direction of Jackson's Burks Walker Tippet Funeral Home. Gerri passed away on October 14, 2017 peacefully in her sleep. She was born August 8, 1946 in Tyler, TX to Garland Mack and Zula Rozell Gilleland. She graduated from Chapel Hill High school in 1964. She retired from U.T. health Center in 2002. Geraldine was known for her love and devotion to her husband, children, grandchildren and extended family. She loved to sew and garden. She blessed everyone she met with her kindness and warm heart. She never met a stranger. She was preceded in death by her parents; Louie Dingler her husband of 48 years, daughter, Cindy Louise Dingler; grandson, Zack Browne; brother-in-law, Durwood Dingler; and brother-in-law, Everett Blackburn. She is survived by; sons and daughters-in-law, Jimmy and LaShawn Dingler of Tyler and Brian and Brandy Dingler of The Colony; daughter, Cathy Hilton of Winona, daughter and son in law, Kay and Tim Browne of Whitehouse. She is also survived by sister-in-law, Jean Blackburn of Dayton and brother and sister-in-law, Marion and Alice Dingler of Winona along with grandchildren and great-grandchildren nieces, nephews and cousins. Honorary pallbearers are the Pairs and Spares Sunday School Class at Bethel Baptist Church. "Life is a Blessing" This is my life. It is the only one I will get. If I make a mistake or fail at something I will learn from it. I will get over it and I will move forward. I will be the best daughter, wife, mother, and friend that I can be. I will be the best "Gran" in the world! I will never settle for anything less. You get out of life what you put into it. Remember: Experience is what you get when you don't get what you want.
