Bio
Daughter of Asaph M. Rogers and Elizabeth Milner. Wife of James R. Hanks . Mother of Julius "Jack" W. , and others. ∼ PARENTS: ASAPH & ELIZABETH ROGERS. She was born in Edgar County, Illinois near the town of Paris. She lived there until she was 13 years old when the family moved to Kansas and later came to Iowa. She married in 1886 to James Hanks in Wayne County, Iowa. They lived there until 1918 when they moved to Ida Grove. They had 14 children: 9 boys & 5 girls. Three boys and 2 girls have preceded their mother in death. Emma is survived by her husband and the following children: Albert and Monroe of Ida Grove; Isaac of Galva; Julius of Schaller, Iowa; Iron of Sioux Falls; Curtis of Maxville, Ks.; Mrs Leone deCloedt of Detroit; Mrs. Roy Nelson of Galva; & Mrs. Harry Ely of Ida Grove. There are 36 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren. She is also survived by 2 sisters: Lola Rusch of May, Okla.; Jane Teagarten of Cascade, Idaho; & one brother: Dick Rogers of Regent, ND. --------------- CHILDREN: ALBERT CURTIS IRON ISAAC, JULIIUS, LEONA,
