GANADO - Robert L. (Bobby) Cykala, Jr., 88 of Ganado, passed away Sept. 9, 2017. Bobby was born on May 14, 1929 in East Bernard, Texas to Robert L. Sr. and Bessie Cykala. Bobby married the love of his life Willie Mae Cykala on June 30, 1951. Robert is preceded in death by his parents, brothers; Clarence and Bennie Cykala. Robert also known as Bobby liked to visit with his family and friends. He worked for Alcoa for 39 1/2 years in the pot rooms before retiring. In his younger days he would grow a half acre garden and raised his own animals to butcher and eat. He loved life and was a good jokester. Bobby also liked to take his family and go camping and fishing at the beach. Bobby was a Catholic and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He will be missed by all. Visitation will be held Monday Sept. 11, 2017 from 5-7 pm, with a rosary recited at 6 pm, at the Ganado Funeral Home, 800 So. Third St. Services will be Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2017 at 10:00 am, at the Assumption Catholic Church in Ganado, with Father Kirby Hlavaty officiating. Interment will follow in the Assumption Catholic Cemetery. Services have been entrusted to Russell Todish of the Ganado Funeral Home, 800 So. Third St., Ganado, Texas, 361-771-2120.
