Bio

Bettye Jane Hopper Moore, 83, of Big Spring, died Friday, September 1, 2017 at her residence. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Monday, September 4, 2017 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM Sunday at the funeral home. Jane was born December 20, 1933 in Coahoma, Texas to Thomas T. and Carrie Faye Isbell Hopper. She married Miles Moore December 5, 1975 in Big Spring. He preceded her in death August 14, 1997. She was raised in Knott and played basketball while in high school. She worked as a bookkeeper for various businesses throughout her life and retired from the Knott COOP Gin after 16 years. Survivors include two daughters, Cyndi Jane Morris and Cara Jean Nichols and husband, Allen all of Big Spring; three grandchildren, Lacey D'Angelo of San Angelo, Kyle Nichols and wife, Kayla Jo of Big Spring and Kayla Marie Nichols of Andrews; and three great-grandchildren, Jack and Jules Nichols and Klaira Jane D'Angelo. She was also preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Billie Hopper and Troy Hopper; and a sister, Dorthea Hunt. The family suggests memorials to any organization that benefits veterans.
