Bio

Billie G. Hopper, 88, of Big Spring, died Saturday, May 9, 2015 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Rev. Joey Bacon officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park. Billie was born August 25, 1926 in Gorman, Texas and married Vonnie Gunn December 4, 1948 in Roswell, New Mexico. He served his country in the United States Navy and retired as a Steelman at the Cosden Oil and Chemical refinery. He was also a Master carpenter and taught his son and grandson that trade. Billie is survived by his wife, Vonnie Hopper; one daughter, Debbie Elliott and husband, Jace, all of Big Spring; four grandchildren; eight great grandchildren: and one sister, Jane Moore of Big Spring. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Carrie Faye (Isbell) Hopper and one son, Jimmy Hopper.
