Bio

RONALD L. BOSWELL, 77 years of Lyons, Nebraska, passed away Saturday, June 2, 2012, at Oakland Heights in Oakland, Nebraska. Ronald was born December 23, 1934, in Omaha, Nebraska, to Kenneth and Ruth (Smith) Boswell. Ron graduated from Union High School in Union, Nebraska. On May 9, 1954, Ron married Marilyn Younker. They were married for forty years and had seven children. Ron served in the National Guard. In 1963, Ron attended Peru State College and became the Methodist minister at Julian, Nebraska. He later served churches in Craig, Schuyler, Lyons, Albion and Mitchell, Nebraska with a devotion to home bible studies and prayer meetings. Ron was known for his personal concern and attention to the people of his congregation. He was devoted to sharing his beliefs and truly lived a life reflecting his faith in God. Ron has spent the last three years happily married to Beverly (Larsen) Wilt Boswell. He enjoyed teaching Sunday School at the First Presbyterian Church in Lyons and the couple became members at Salem Covenant Church in rural Oakland, Nebraska, which they have greatly enjoyed. Ron was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Everett; father, Kenneth Boswell; wives, Marilyn and Mary McClusky Boswell; son, Jeff ; and sister, Norma Garnett. Ron leaves behind his wife, Beverly of Lyons; children, Julie (Lynn) Eager of Lincoln, Nebraska, Rod Boswell of Wisner, Nebraska, Bill (Trish) Boswell of Benedict, Nebraska, John (Sandy) Boswell of Schuyler, Nebraska, Chris Boswell of Lyons, Stephanie Boswell of Omaha, Nebraska; 19 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; brother, Dean Everett of Jacksonville, Florida; stepson, Les Wilt of Sioux City, Iowa; along with many friends and extended family members.
