Bio

Infant daughter (2 months old) of Francis Ustenik Hrbacek and Ignatius Hrbacek - Francis was putting up the horses after Ignatius was caught in a blizzard and arrived home half frozen, as he had been drinking heavily. When she returned to the house, her little daughter Mary was hiding in fright behind the bed and the cradle was knocked over on the brick heath - little Annie (2 months old) was dead. Francis took Mary & the baby to her mother's home and her brothers helped her bury the baby. She is buried at St Joseph's Cemetery in Ennis in an area near where some one named Drabek & Edith Loykasek were buried. The grass burned in that area and her gravesite is now obliterated. Ignatius was very ill from pneumonia and mercifully died. Francis remarried Charlie Macalik on Sept 20, 1910. She is buried in St Joseph's also.
