Jack Duane Cole, 74, of Sullivan passed away 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, February 7, 2007 at St. John's Hospital, Springfield. Jack was born March 8, 1932 in rural Bethany; the son of Hubert and Bessie (Wallace) Cole. He married Joanna Chaney July 29, 1955 in Sullivan. She survives. Jack was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the First Christian Church, Sullivan. Jack is survived by his wife, Joanna; sons, David Cole of Sullivan and Steve Cole of Bethany; brothers, Wallace "Bud" Cole of Sullivan and Eugene Cole of Decatur; sisters, Betty Jones of San Antonio, TX and Carolyn Munroe of Kansas City, MO; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren and faithful friend Sammy (chocolate lab).
