Bio

Received his education in the Ravenna Public Schools graduating from Wiggle Creek High School. Began working for the Burlington Railroad as a young man prior to entering the U. S. Army. He served in the European Theater and after his discharge was employed at local lumber yard. Went to work for the Cornhusker Army Ammunition Plant in 1951 and continued his association with the Mason Hanger, Silas Mason Co., until his retirement in Aug. 1986 as chief of guards. Married Leola Schrock on Nov. 20, 1963 at Alma. He was an avid outdoorsman. He was affiliated with Trinity United Methodist Church and a member of the VFW. Survivors include his wife, Leola, a sister, Mrs. Bette Patterson of Aurora and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Jeanette.
