March 19, 1933 - August 24, 2017 ARLINGTON - Joanna Rae Young, 84, of Arlington went home to be with her Lord and Savior Thursday, August 24, 2017. Joanna was born in Shamrock, Texas on March 19, 1933 to Kermit and Seidel Howard. After graduating from Shamrock High School, she married Donald Lea and began the life of a mother to five children. In mid-life she married the love of her life and soul mate, Robert Young. They shared 26 wonderful years together. Most of their married years were spent living in Haslet, Texas where she worked for Briggs Weaver Industrial Supply as a secretary. Her hobbies included traveling with her husband and grandchildren and cooking for family and friends. Her christian faith spilled over into every aspect of her life. Joanna was a spirited, kind and loving friend to all who knew her. Her husband and children were blessed by her daily. She is preceded in death by her parents, Kermit Howard and Seidel Howard Franklin; one brother, Dean Howard; two sisters, Billie Hollingsworth and Louan King; husband, Robert Young; and daughter, Donna Lea.
