CANADIAN, Jan. 30 - A freak automobile collision, involving a hit-and-run driver, early Sunday morning took the life of D.E. Milson, 25, of Perryton, and severely injured three others, one critically. Quick assistance on the part of passers-by barely saved two persons from being burned to death in the Milson car which caught fire at the time of the crash. The accident occurred shortly after midnight on Highway 33, in Canadian. County officers are seeking the driver of the car thought to be responsible for the accident. Mr. Milson, a wholesale oil dealer of Perryton, died at 7 o'clock Sunday morning in a Canadian hospital as the result of a skull fracture. His 6-year-old son, Billie Frank, is critically ill in the hospital, suffering a fractured skull. Mr. and Mrs. W.T. Milson of Nacona [sic], Tex., parents of the victim, are confined to the hospital with severe cuts and bruises. Their condition s are not considered serious.
