Bio

Iola Vickers Meyer of Modesto died at Bethany Home, Ripon. Mrs. Meyer was a native of Tree City, La., and had lived in Modesto since 1946. She was a homemaker and had worked as a pastry chef for Monty's Restaurant in the '70s and '80s. She enjoyed crocheting and baking. She is survived by her children, Barbara Long of Windsor, Linda Hagen of Modesto and Charles David Meyer of Davis; and 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her children Billie Frank Melson and Jessie Gipson. A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. March 29 at Lakewood Memorial Park, Hughson. Remembrances may be made to Bethany Home, 930 W. Main St., Ripon 95366.
