Obituary Gonzales Inquirer Jan. 19, 1984 Funeral services for Mrs. Julia Staton Shaw, who died in a San Antonio hospital yesterday, will be held on Thursday, Jan. 19 at 2 p.m. at Seydler-Hill Chapel. Interment will be in the Saturn Cemetery.Mrs. Shaw was born on Jan. 18, 1901 in Hallettsville to Julius and Louisa Pesna olek. She was a member of St. James Catholic Church and was a seamstress for Lane Bryant Clothing Mfg. She is survived y a daughter, Mrs. K.A. "Pokey" (Dorothy) Kennedy; a sister, Mrs. Millie McMakin of Taylor; a brother, Emil Volek of Comfort; three grandsons, K.A. (Pokey" Kennedy, both of Houston, Tom Kennedy of Gonzales; three great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one brother and three sisters.
