From Obituary on the funeral home site: Edwin F. Dusek June 10, 1933 - August 8, 2017 Edwin Dusek, 84, of East Bernard, passed away on Tuesday, August 8th. He was born on June 10, 1933 in East Bernard to the late Emil and Wilma (Viaclovsky) Dusek. Edwin was proceeded in death by his wife of 61 years, Esther (Laskoskie) Dusek. Survivors include his sister; his niece; and his nephew; a grand niece and grand nephew.. Edwin is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, as well as his special companion, "Goldie" the parakeet. Edwin lived his life in Tavener and went to school in Orchard. He was an avid farmer as well as a gardener until he retired in 2009. Edwin also served as a board member for the Fort Bend County Farm Bureau for numerous years. Funeral services are under the direction of Knesek and Sons Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Thursday, August 10th from 5:00-8:00pm at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Wallis, TX. Church services will be on Friday, August 11th at 10:00am also at St. Paul Lutheran Church with Reverend Dale Leland officiating. Burial will be at the East Bernard Methodist Cemetery following church services. Edwin was a great man who never knew a stranger. He was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need and will be greatly missed by all. Note: edited to remove the names of the living.
