She left Arcadia last Thursday morning accompanied by her husband and her brother-in-law, Adam Visda, to the hospital for treatment. Deceased was a second daughter of Thomas Stone of this vicinity and she was born in Taibach, South Wales, Dec. 3rd, 1879, moved to America with her uncle, Henry Stone and his family when she was six years of age. She lived in Valley County until the time of her death, except three years in Lincoln. In November 1890 [sic-1898] she was married to Mr. Hattley Holden and to this union were born five children, three boys and two girls. During her sickness, she showed marvelous courage and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. She was willing to trust him as her personal Savior and we believe she died in the christian faith. The world will never know what heroic sacrifice of these few years of severe toil has been to her. Though with broken health, yet she was inspired to work for her family to be true, honest, upright and to honor God. She is survived by her husband and five children, Father and step-mother, one brother, two sisters and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held in the Round Park school house, this morning, Rev. Thos. Evans, of Arcadia officiating. Burial at Round Park Cemetery. The Arcadia Champion - Jan 12 1911, Pg 1, Col 2
