The Portsmouth Times Portsmouth, Ohio Friday, 8 April 1955 NARA LUTHER RIDGE (1908-1955) Jackson - Funeral services will Be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday for Nara Luther Ridge, 46, of Jackson Rt. 1, who died at his home at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday. MR. Ridge had been ill for six months, and death was attributed to a heart attack. Born in Jackson June 7, 1908, Mr. Ridge lived in that community all his life. He was employed by the Jackson - Ironton Steel Co. Mr. Ridge was a member of the Jackson Eagles Lodge. Surviving are his wife, Bernice Wilson Ridge, at home; his mother, Mrs. David Ridge; three sons, Kenneth Dean Ridge and James Carl Ridge, both at home; and Robert L. Ridge of South St., Jackson; and two daughters, Carole Ridge, at home; and Mrs. Stewart Ridge of Jackson Rt. 2. Also surviving are a grandchild; two brothers, David H. Ridge, of Jackson and Charles Ridge of Columbus; and three sisters, Mrs. Reese Thomas of Jackson, Mrs. Margaret Norman of Dayton; and Mrs. Ralph Worthington of Springfield. Mr. Ridge was preceded in death by his father, David, in 1953. Funeral services will be at Mayhew Funeral Home, where the body is to remain until after services. Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery.
