May Louise Ebling, 89, of Granite City passed away on Tues, February 4, 2014 at the Rosewood Care Center in Edwardsville, IL surrounded by her family. May was born on January 26, 1925 in Kuttawa, KY to the late Roscoe and Anna Faye nee Behen Boyd. May married Carl E. Ebling on September 21, 1947 in Piggot, Arkansas. He survives. May was a hairdresser and had her own business out of her home for 45 years. Besides her husband of 66 years, May is survived by a daughter and son in law, Jean and Dick Wulf of Colorado Springs, CO. Also surviving are 5 grandchildren, Gary Swift, Jr, Cheryl Swift, Valerie Wulf, Becky Wulf and Laura Bachlet. May also had 7 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 1 daughter: Diane Louise Swift, 1 son: Danny Eugene Ebling, 3 brothers: Billy Boyd, Marion Boyd, Kenneth Boyd, and 1 sister: Nelda Sipes. A memorial visitation will be held Friday, February 7, 2014 from 4pm – 5pm at Wojstrom Funeral Home & Crematory in Granite City. A memorial service will begin at 5pm on Friday, February 7, 2014.
