From the web site: http://www.usgennet.org/usa/ne/county/platte/vitals/lusches.html William H. (Bill) Lusche, 68, of 3406 16th St., Columbus, died Wednesday at Lincoln Veterans Hospital. Services are at 10 a.m. Saturday at McKown Funeral Chapel in Columbus, with Rev. Paul Rowoldt officiating. Burial is in Columbus Cemetery with military graveside services by American Legion Post No. 84. Visitation is after 1 p.m. Friday until service time at the McKown Funeral Home. Mr. Lusche was born Nov. 6, 1915, at Columbus, the son of Walter and Elsa Pearl Smith Lusche. He graduated from Columbus High School in 1933, and married Evelyn Pollock in 1956, at McCook. Mr. Lusche lived in Columbus his entire life. He was a retired plumber, having worked for Campbell Plumbing and Olk Plumbing. He served as a staff sergeant in the U.S. Army during World War II from Jan. 1942-Dec. 1945, with the 1011th Signal Corp. Mr. Lusche was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Surviving are his wife, Evelyn A. of Columbus; his mother, Elsa P. of Columbus; a son, Vincent W. of Kimball; three stepchildren, Karen K. Schaufelberger of Lincoln, Frank M. Pollock of Shreveport, La. and James R. Pollock of Kearney; and a granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his father and a sister.
