Wanda Otte, 72, of Hazard died Friday, June 30, 2017 at Kearney Regional Medical Center in Kearney. Services were at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 6, 2017 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Ravenna. Pastor Micah Gaunt will officiate. Burial was in Highland Park Cemetery in Ravenna. Visitation was from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the church. Rasmussen Funeral Home in Ravenna was in charge of arrangements. Wanda Kay Otte was born November 8, 1944 in Riverton, WY to Stanton and Erma (Keldsen) Capellen. She grew up in rural Hazard and graduated from Ravenna High School. She married Lyle Otte on June 15, 1963 in Ravenna. The couple made their home in Hazard. Wanda was employed by Ravenna Public Schools and Capellen Service. Wanda was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church. She enjoyed photography, crafts and crossword puzzles and flower gardening. The couple enjoyed traveling, eating out and going for drives. Survivors include her husband, Lyle of Hazard, son and daughter-in-law, Lance and Julie Otte of Hazard, daughters and sons-in-law, Trisha and Rory Chandler of Bellevue and Kimberly and Dan Kriha of Ravenna, grandchildren, Olivia and her husband, Nathaniel Schrock of Kearney, Adyson Otte of Hazard, Mason Chandler and Marshal Chandler both of Bellevue and Landry Otte of Hazard, sister LaVonne Feller of Blair Nebraska. She was preceded in death by her parents.
