Obit via SAC from Rick: No source of obit given: Mrs. Minerva L. Morris, well known resident of Monroe township, died at her home at Clearville, Rt. 1, Thursday, April 12, 1951. Mrs. Morris, with her husband, Oliver Shannon Morris, operated a grocery store at Clearville for 49 years and was highly respected in the community in which she lived. She was born in Monroe township March 29, 1865, the daughter of John [Job - ed.] Sylvester and Sarah J. (Barton) Akers. She was married to Oliver Shannon Morris July 28, 1888. Her husband preceded her in death. She is survived by these children: Albert Morris, Lancaster; Mrs. Clara Mills, Clearville; Mrs. Ellen Shaffer, Lyons, N.Y.; Mrs. Mary Heacock, Greenville; Charles and Mrs. Grace Miller, Clearville; Mrs. Bertha Nusbaum, New Windsor, Md. Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Lavinia B. Crouse, Metamore, O.; Mrs. Jacob Vogel, Philadelphia; a brother, William C. Akers, Everett; 30 grandchildren and 44 great-grandchildren. Two children are deceased. Membership was held in the Methodist church.
