LUFKIN - Services for Iva Catherine Conner, 94, Bossier City, La., former resident of Lufkin, are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Carroway-Claybar Funeral Home, Lufkin, with the Revs. Emory R. Quarles and Bobby F. Lewis Sr. officiating. Burial will be in Huntington Cemetery. Mrs. Conner died Feb. 24, 2007, in Bossier City, La. She was born March 15, 1912, in Angelina County to Eugene and Emily Crow Walker. She was a Pentecostal. Survivors include her daughter, Bertie Jo Alford, Shreveport, La.; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert "Cannonball" Delmon Conner, and sons, James A. Conner, Giles Conner and David "R.D." Conner. Pallbearers will be Leslie Thomas, Mike Reid, Bobby Frank Lewis Jr., Les Rupert, Tim Addison and Shawn Ringgold. Honorary pallbearer will be Bobby Frank Lewis Sr. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Published in the Tyler Morning Telegraph on 2/26/2007.
